Vidya Sagar is a 39-year-old organization dedicated to empowering children and adults with disabilities through education, rehabilitation, and livelihood opportunities. Serving around 4,000 individuals and their families annually, it operates through center-based and community programs across 62 rural panchayats in Tamil Nadu and two semi-urban areas in Chennai. Adopting a life-span approach, its services cater to high-risk newborns, children, and adults with disabilities. Key focus areas include inclusive education, physiotherapy, speech and occupational therapy, vocational training, employment, assisted living, leisure activities, and caregiver training. Vidya Sagar also offers specialized courses in rehabilitation to build capacity in the field.
